Intensive Swedish for economists, lawyers and other social scientists – SFEJ

SFEJ is an intensive education programme in Swedish for lawyers, economists and other social scientists.

You will study in a group with others in your profession at language oriented vocational lessons.

Brief description of the programme:

  • intensive education for economists, lawyers and other social scientists with a foreign background
  • vocationally-oriented, intensive Swedish language studies for these occupational groups
  • study visits to places including the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, the Sveriges Riksbank, the courts and the Riksdag
  • mentor programme in collaboration with the trade union AKAVIA and Arbetsgivarsamverkan.

Education programme structure

If you start at the SFI CT level and study up to the upper secondary school's final course, Swedish as a second language 3 (SVA 3), the programme takes about 1.5 years.

Mentor programme in collaboration with Akavia and Arbetsgivarsamverkan

You can apply for the mentor programmes in collaboration with Akavia (trade union) and Arbetsgivarsamverkan (city of Stockholm).

Once you are accepted to the programme, you will be assigned a mentor with an educational background that matches your own. You will learn more about working life in Sweden, possibly through a visit to your mentor's workplace.
